Pere Marquette River Fishing Reports

Still has opportunities to catch a steelhead.

Steelhead spawning is pretty much done but anglers may still find a few leftover fish to catch. A few suckers were caught but water levels are low and clear so the fish spook easily.

Steelhead are on the gravel which is early this year. The run will not last much longer.

Steelhead fishing is very good with lots of fish in the river.

Had higher water levels near Scottville. Steelhead fishing should only get better in the next few weeks.

Continues to produce steelhead and catch rates will only improve as the temperatures rise.

Has the same report, catch rates are fair as winter continues to hold on. Fresh fish are entering the river but the spring run has not yet started.

Has good steelhead fishing in the lower river.

Pere Marquette Lake water levels were up a bit however anglers are still catching some nice steelhead when fly fishing.

Continues with good steelhead fishing.

Also had good steelhead fishing especially with the warmer temperatures.

Is still producing a good number of winter steelhead.

Continues to provide anglers with good catches of steelhead. Most anglers are fly fishing. Orange and chartreuse are always good colors to try.

Still has plenty of steelhead along the river. Water conditions have improved and fishing should remain good. Colder temperatures may slow the bite so anglers will want to concentrate on the deeper holes until warmer temperatures return by the end of the week.

Should be good for steelhead fishing with the warmer temperatures and so many fish in the river. Those fly fishing in the lower river have done well.
