The Chinook salmon run is just about done. The remaining fish are now spawning and will deteriorate rapidly. Anglers will find some coho along with a fair to good number of steelhead.

Had a very good run of Chinook salmon in the lower river. Many are dark in color which will only get worse as the fish start to die off in the next week or two. Look for coho and steelhead to start moving in.

Still has decent salmon fishing. Many of the bigger Chinook have spawned and are turning dark. A few coho have made their way into the river. Anglers are also catching steelhead.

Continues to have a fair to good number of Chinook salmon including some large fish. The occasional steelhead has also been caught.

Good size salmon are still being caught but the better fishing was in the early morning or late evening when it is cooler. Some of the fish are turning quite dark.

The heavy rain should have pushed more salmon up into the river however fishing conditions may be a little more difficult with high muddy water.

Has a good number of steelhead as well. Warmer temperatures along with the warm rain should produce some very good catches along the river and its tributaries.

First and foremost, STAY OFF THE ICE
-conditions everywhere are very un-predictable right now

Water levels are still rather high and muddy for the most part. Up-stream clarity is starting to improve near Custer and a little at Scottville. A few Steelhead are being taken, but poor clarity is slowing things down.

Anglers were steelhead fishing after the rain and warmer temperatures. The shelf ice upriver cleared out so anglers were able to throw small eggs and nymphs.
